Job summary

Century Mold Co. Inc. in Shelbyville, TN, is seeking a Mid-level Quality Engineer to manage day-to-day quality control activities, PPAPs, inspections and corrective actions for automotive injection-molded parts.

You will supervise Quality Inspectors, coordinate with suppliers and customers, maintain control plans, and drive continuous improvement and conformance across assigned products and processes. Bachelor's degree and 2–4 years of experience in automotive quality required; GD&T and SPC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training in similar position in the Automotive sector; or equivalent combination of education and experience; GD&T knowledge, SPC knowledge, core tools

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and maintain all quality system procedures and requirements related to the position.
• Enforce safety rules and company policies; ensure compliance through subordinates.
• Maintain Quality Control documentation including inspection plans and product history.
• Manage PPAPs, inspections, corrective actions, and supplier/customer quality issues.
• Supervise and train Quality Inspectors; coordinate training programs and testing for hourly personnel.
• Develop standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
