Job summary

Cooper Standard is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to support plant staff in maintaining quality objectives through continuous improvement and direct customer coordination. The role requires leadership in APQP activities, SPC governance, and process audits, with travel to customer sites and suppliers as needed.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, experience with QS-9000/TS16949 quality systems, and the ability to train staff in quality

Qualifications

• Four year degree or two year degree with 2-5 years growth in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing activities.
• Ability to interface with hourly and management levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead APQP activities including part warrants and documents.
• Coordinate problem solving for customer concerns.
• Visit customers to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead and train plant personnel in quality functions.
• Coordinate SPC aspects for all products.
• Coordinate process audit analysis with quality team.
• Perform duties as assigned by QA Manager.
• Promote a healthy, safe work environment.
• Follow all policies and procedures.
• Travel to visit customer plants and suppliers as required.
