Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Quality Engineer in the United States to support testing of new and existing products, supplier qualification, and product quality across steel manufacturing and ground control solutions. You will collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality teams and coordinate with manufacturing facilities and vendors to ensure quality standards are met.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 3–5 years of experience, and the ability to read

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline (Mechanical or Material Science), preferred.
• 3–5 years relevant experience, a plus.
• Ability to understand drawings or models created with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab testing and organize tasks with guidance from Engineering.
• Apply engineering principles to perform calculations and determine testing tools.
• Assist with lab testing of manufactured or purchased products.
• Understand product drawings, specifications, and material requirements; prepare emails/reports conveying technical requirements and results.
• Interpret specification requirements from regulatory or industry standards for products.
• Support creation and organization of technical documents for manufactured or purchased products.
• Participate in vendor auditing and communicate with Purchasing for vendor development.
• Assist in quality audits and testing of products as assigned.
• Learn to use lab machines such as tensile and hardness testers and set up tests.
• Determine proper test fixturing for standard or part-specific testing.
• Prepare samples for testing using saws, grinders, etc.
• Maintain organization of lab and storage for incoming parts.
• Assist with sample retention by part type and supplier.
