H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a dynamic team. The role focuses on testing of new and existing products, supplier and vendor development, and ensuring manufactured products meet all requirements in steel manufacturing and ground control solutions.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Purchasing and Quality teams and with facilities and suppliers. Responsibilities include conducting laboratory testing, interpreting drawings, reporting results, and supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Equivalent Relevant Discipline (Mechanical or Material Science Engineering), Preferred
• Ability to understand drawings or models created with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor

Responsibilities

• Perform lab testing and organize tasks with guidance from Engineering.
• Apply engineering principles to calculations, analyses, and testing setup decisions.
• Assist with lab testing of manufactured or purchased products.
• Understand product drawings, specifications, and material requirements and prepare technical communications.
• Interpret specification requirements from regulatory or industry standards for manufactured or purchased products.
• Assist in creating and organizing technical documents for manufactured or purchased products.
• Participate in vendor audits and communications to facilitate purchasing of quality products; assist vendor development.
• Assist in quality audits and testing of products as assigned.
• Use or learn lab machines (tensile and hardness testers) and set up fixtures for tests.
• Prepare samples for testing using suitable tools.
• Maintain lab organization and storage for incoming parts.
• Assist with sample part retention systems by part type and supplier.
