Job summary

Ashton North LLC in the United States is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on testing and improving product quality across steel manufacturing and ground control solutions. You will conduct lab testing, evaluate supplier quality, and collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing and Quality teams to ensure parts meet specification.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mechanical or Materials Engineering with 3–5 years of relevant experience and proficiency in interpreting

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Materials Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings or models created with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab testing and organization tasks with guidance from Engineering.
• Apply engineering principles to perform calculations and determine testing tools.
• Assist with lab testing of manufactured or purchased products.
• Understand product drawings, specifications, and material requirements; prepare reports on testing results.
• Interpret regulatory or industry standards for manufactured or purchased products.
• Create and organize technical documents for manufactured or purchased products.
• Participate in vendor auditing and communication to support quality and supplier development.
• Assist in quality audits and testing of products as assigned.
• Operate or learn lab machines such as tensile and hardness testers and set up fixtures for tests.
• Prepare samples for testing using saws, grinders, mills, etc.
• Maintain lab organization and storage for incoming parts.
