Job summary

Nutrien in Biola, CA, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to lead QMS initiatives, audits, CAPA activities and process improvements in manufacturing. You will partner with Engineering to integrate MOC and drive root-cause analysis for ongoing quality enhancements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or chemistry and 3+ years in industrial processing; ISO 9001 and QMS experience are preferred. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, or equivalent background and experience; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years in an industrial processing environment with knowledge of chemical processing fundamentals.
• Internal applicants may be considered in lieu of meeting minimum education and/or experience requirements.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO 9001 preferred.
• Experience with root cause analysis, including TapRooT, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop QMS elements, policies, and procedures referencing ISO 9001 guidance.
• Support implementation of QMS programs and software solutions for manufacturing facilities.
• Perform audits of the Quality Management System and address gaps with corrective actions.
• Lead initiatives to continuously improve quality and monitor KPIs.
• Oversee CAPAs and track completion; drive reduction in customer complaints and improve experience.
• Provide training and mentorship to site personnel on quality fundamentals.
