Job summary

Amcor in Hazleton, PA seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure compliance with the Quality Management Systems and customer requirements per ISO 22000 and 22002, providing quality engineering support to manufacturing.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science, at least two years of quality engineering experience, and Six Sigma belt certification (or willingness to pursue). You will engage in process validations, FMEA, DOE, SPC and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science required.
• Minimum two years of Quality Engineering experience in medical or packaging contexts.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred or willingness to pursue.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with process validations (IQ, OQ, PQ) and product validations as per customer requirements
• Support manufacturing units with analyzing failures, preventive and corrective action processes related to both internal and external issues
• Facilitate Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
• Perform Design of Experiments (DOE)
• Track, trend and report quality metrics
• Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods
• Provide support for the implementation and sustaining of statistical process controls (SPC)
• Provide support to engineering change order process
• Assist Quality manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system
• Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions
• Ability to effectively develop and perform: Validations, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Gauge R&R, and DOE
