Job summary

SPX Technologies in Kansas is hiring a Quality Engineer to develop, improve, and maintain quality documentation for the production of cooling towers and components. You will work closely with engineering to drive quality improvements, support ISO compliance, and assist in audits and customer inspections.

The role involves leading quality assurance, supporting product development, and training production staff in quality practices.

Qualifications

1-3 years in an ISO or AS9100 certified production environment.
Experience hosting auditors and conducting audits to comply with ISO system requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality or related field.
Six Sigma leadership (black/green belt) preferred.
ASQ CQE and CQA certifications preferred.
Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong MS Office skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to coach, train and lead others.

Responsibilities

Lead product quality assurance efforts, ensuring conformance to standards and specifications through testing, inspecting, and monitoring key process variables and product characteristics.
Maintain plant ISO documentation and support audits to preserve certification.
Collaborate with engineering to drive quality improvements in design and assembly manuals.
Support Product Development to ensure quality of new products.
Lead internal audits and assist supplier evaluations to meet customer requirements.
Provide training to production teams on quality tools and methods.
Assist with customer inspections and production tours as needed.
