Job summary

EnerSys is seeking a Quality Engineer to support a manufacturing site with quality management responsibilities. You will address supplier, process, and customer concerns while maintaining the Quality Management System.

You will develop control plans, perform audits, and drive corrective actions to improve product quality and process capability. Collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and Customer Service is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related field is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • English language proficiency in speaking and writing.
  • Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, 5WHY, Statistical Tools, SPC, etc.).
  • Familiar with IATF 16949 or ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

  • Support with problem solving, containment of nonconforming products, and corrective actions.
  • Develop quality instructions, control plans, etc.
  • Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and generating KPI reports.
  • Manage internal improvement plans.
  • Cooperate with relevant support functions, such as Operations, Engineering, Customer Service, etc.
  • Improve the quality of the battery finishing lines.
  • Perform system, process, and product audits to fulfill IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
  • Participate in change-approval process.
  • Provide quality coaching and training of production staff.
