AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer III to ensure product and service quality for West Valley City operations. You will lead quality programs, drive CAPA, and coordinate with QA teams to meet customer expectations.

The role requires 5–8 years' related experience, GD&T mastery, and a Lean/Six Sigma mindset. Expect on-site work with cross-functional collaboration and occasional travel for training and PRR activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum of 5–8 years of related experience.
• Experience and a strong understanding of DMAIC, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, Gage R&R, and lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:AS9100, AS9102 standards and audits.
• Ability to communicate with customers and suppliers to resolve process gaps and apply requirements cost-effectively.
• Knowledge of dimensional inspection measurement systems and ASME Y14.5 (GD&T).
• Ability to collect, compile and analyze data to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Able to reduce DPPM and improve OTD with suppliers.

The QE engages Continuous Improvement (CI) resources to identify and eliminate cost drivers, identify and eliminate flow disruptions and implement visual factory KPI metrics. The QE establishes effective Problem Reporting and CAPA systems for Containment, Correction & Prevention Actions and Documentation of non-conformances. The Quality Engineer will have either Customer Quality responsibilities or Product Quality responsibilities, in addition to the general responsibilities outlined. **Position Responsibilities*** Coordinate work with Quality Technicians and inspectors as necessary* Perform training on BMS procedures with workforce, as required.
