Job summary

Precision Fuzing and Sensors is actively hiring a Quality Engineer II for Middletown, CT. The role focuses on identifying nonconformances, leading root cause analysis, and implementing corrective action plans with cross-functional teams in electro-mechanical manufacturing.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints and mil-specs, monitoring NCs/MRBs, and driving effective corrective and preventive actions while supporting FAI activities and quality metrics reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related Engineering field, or a combination of an Associate's Degree in related technical field with 4 to 7 years of related professional experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance or related responsibilities.
  • Broad knowledge of a general technical field such as electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement plans to accomplish Quality department objectives that support schedule and meet contract objectives.
  • Work with and interpret blueprints, drawings and mil-specs in accordance with government and/or customer contract requirements.
  • Monitor status of NC's and MRB activities to ensure milestones are accomplished.
  • Identify problems in production related to NC's and assure a plan is developed in coordination with other operating departments for implementing corrective actions. Initiate corrective action, if appropriate.
  • Provide leadership on quality issues concerning both customers and internal to assure effective cause, corrective and preventive action; monitor for continued effectiveness.
  • Participate in program reviews and product cell meetings.
  • Support Quality Department FAI inspection activities.
  • Serve as liaison between MRB and management to ensure requirements, cost and schedule are maintained.
  • May be required to develop and present quality metrics management.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of training programs, as needed.
  • Follow standard departmental and company procedures as outlined by management.

Quality Engineer II

Precision Fuzing and Sensors is actively hiring for a Quality Engineer II in Middletown, CT. The ideal candidate will have experience with reading blueprints and drawings and have a background in electro‑mechanical manufacturing.
