Reporting to a Manager of Quality / Reliability, the Quality Engineer's primary responsibility is to support the successful launch of new products by driving manufacturing quality readiness, risk visibility, issue management, and cross-site alignment throughout the NPD lifecycle. Working with increasing levels of independence, the QE collaborates with Design Engineering, Reliability Engineering, A dvanced Manufacturing Engineering , Supplier Quality, Operations, and global factory teams to identify manufacturing risks early, support readiness reviews, and help ensure quality concerns are effectively documented, communicated, and resolved.
The QE serves as a quality liaison between domestic new product development teams and global manufacturing organizations, helping to ensure that supplier readiness, process controls, fixture readiness, documentation robustness, and production readiness activities are completed with appropriate visibility and alignment. The role offers opportunities to influence new product development, improve launch quality performance, and drive continuous improvement across global manufacturing operations.
