Job summary

Amphenol Printed Circuit Board Technology in Nashua, NH is seeking a qualified QA professional to establish and review quality documentation and deliverables, ensuring compliance with customer drawings, specifications, and QA systems.

You will lead root cause analysis, coordinate corrective actions, train teams, and implement process improvements using SPC, LEAN and 5S, with a focus on supplier and customer quality.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a technical field with at least 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and/or PCB engineering.
• Ability to develop and implement project plans and understand quality concepts and technologies.
• knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100 and related quality systems; ability to train others.
• Computer skills: proficient with internet use for data management and presentations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of PCB military and industry specifications.
• Knowledge of process control techniques (SPC, LEAN, 5S) is a plus.

Job description

This position is responsible for establishing the preparation and review of quality documentation and deliverables for fulfilling technical requirements for final product delivery. Working directly with customer drawings, PO’s, specifications, quality systems flow downs, (e.g.: QN data base), supplier quality requirements (SQR’s) and customer website, portals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintains communications with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Finance, Customer Service, Program Managers and Customers/ Suppliers on quality related issues.
• Communication and interpersonal skills required to interface with personnel at various technical and managerial levels, helping to identify quality issues and collaboratively pursue solutions.
• Recommend, develop, implement and maintain quality assurance systems, methods and procedures.
• Review engineering documentation, process specifications, manufacturing methods, contractual requirements and testing procedures to identify compliance with QA requirements.
• Review and update internal documentation to assure compliance to industry specifications.
• Use root cause analysis tools and techniques, issue appropriate documentation, coordinate corrective action, and follow-up to assure effective solutions of problems.
• Create a teamwork environment while working with cognizant personnel to identify and implement corrective actions.
• Develop process improvement efforts using a data driven approach, (e.g., apply SPC, statistical process control) methods for analyzing data to evaluate current state and/or the need for changes. Using these analytical techniques to develop and implement technical surveillance systems and sampling plans to; identify trends adverse to quality.
• Coordinate and integrate multi-disciplined teams to address quality issues and continual improvement efforts.
• Communicate changes in QA policies and systems and develop and conduct education and training programs.
• Help to coordinate Material Review Board activities and support programs, preparing periodic status reports for Customer and Government based programs, reflecting progress of quality programs and initiatives.
• Support customer documentation review during quoting/engineering phases and final data packages prior to shipment.
• Establish and maintain reporting systems, and initiate meetings with key customers to track quality, improvements, qualifications, complaints and actions.
• Perform product, process, and systems audits as required.
• Evaluate processes and material changes to existing products to assure compliance with internal, industry, and customer requirements.
• Take lead role in problem resolution of customer audit actions, CA's, returns, and other customer requests as appropriate.
• Responsible for product disposition, waivers, qualification builds, and deviation requests.
• Set-up and help maintain process controls and short sheets pertaining to QA, QC inspection and Quality related output criteria as required.
• Take a lead role in using TQM tools or other problem-solving skills to improve overall quality of the outgoing product, customer satisfaction, and other quality initiatives throughout the organization, working with all functions, and may include customers, and suppliers.
• Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned and may be required.

Requirements:

• BA/BS in a technical related field with a minimum of 5 years relevant technical experience preferably in manufacturing and/or engineering of Printed Circuit Boards.
• Must be able to develop and implement project plans, and understand quality concepts and technologies.
• Must have the ability to train others and possess knowledge of related quality systems and specifications, e.g.; (ISO9001, AS9100, etc.)
• Computer skills: Proficient with internet use- required for data management and presentations.
• Must have excellent communication skills and ability/flexibility to work in a fast paced environment.
• Understanding of PCB military and industry specifications preferred.
