Job summary

Amphenol seeks a Quality Manager to oversee the Quality Management System, ensure AS9100 and industry standard compliance, and drive CAPA and corrective actions. You will lead the quality team, mentor engineers, and collaborate with engineering to prevent defects while supporting multiple sites.

The role requires 5–10 years in manufacturing quality and 1–5 years of leadership. Travel to Mesa, AZ and Nogales, MX is expected; excellent communication and data skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, engineering or QA discipline.
  • 5–10 years in a manufacturing quality role.
  • 1–5 years of management or supervision experience.
  • Strong communication with internal and external customers.
  • Proficient in data collection, analysis and presentation.
  • AS9100 lead auditing experience preferred.
  • MIL standard compliance experience preferred.
  • Detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.

  • Liaise between customers, agencies and registrars.
  • Manage Document Control in Uniport.
  • Collaborate on quality policies and procedures.
  • Travel to APC or customer sites as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

This position oversees the entirety of the Quality Management System (QMS), enforces compliance with IPC, ISO/AS, NADCAP, MIL and customer standards, and directs root cause and corrective action efforts. They also lead the quality team, collaborate with engineering to prevent defects, and ensure products meet all customer and industry specifications. While based in Nashua, NH, this role will also provide quality support for the APC facilities in Mesa, AZ and Nogales, MX.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain the QMS in compliance with AS9100 and industry standards like IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC-6012 and J-STD-003.
  • Manage all internal and external auditing activities to successful closure.
  • Manage, mentor, and evaluate Quality Engineers and Technicians.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like yields, defect rates, and rework levels to present data‑driven dashboards to senior leadership.
  • Manage First Article Inspections (FAI), investigate internal defects, and handle customer returns or RMA processes.
  • Support investigations into manufacturing defects to isolate root causes and execute Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Oversee and champion the entire corrective action system, including tracking status of open actions, receiving and reviewing responses, working with departments for timely completion and periodic reports and metrics. This includes verification by auditing the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Act as liaison between customers, government agencies, registrars and others.
  • Manage Document Control activities within the Uniport software.
  • Collaborate with senior management personnel in formulating and establishing quality policies, operating procedures and goals in accordance with company objectives.
  • Travel to other APC or customer sites as required.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as required, directed or assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Engineering or QA discipline equivalent.
  • 5‑10 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role.
  • 1‑5 years of management or supervision responsibility preferred.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Proficient in data collection, analysis and presentation.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office suite.
  • 1‑3 years of experience in AS9100 lead auditing activities.
  • Experience with Military (MIL) standard compliance and reporting preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
