Job summary

Engine Power Components Inc. in Grand Haven, MI seeks a Quality Engineer to strengthen processes, drive robust quality systems, and support customers worldwide. You will launch new products, ensure conformance to customer specs, and contribute to the IATF 16949 quality management system.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in quality engineering, GD&T training, and experience with ISO/IATF audits, Minitab, and CAD/CAM tools. The role emphasizes problem solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

3+ years in quality engineering, including metal manufacturing.
Experience implementing ISO/TS 16949 / IATF 16949 and third-party audits.
GD&T training and practical quality tool use.

Responsibilities

Launch new products with control plans, training, and quality measurements.
Ensure all products meet customer specifications.
Support APQP for new and existing work with technical quality input.
Develop documentation for APQP/PPAP/FMEA per requirements.
Perform studies to ensure process control for all products.
Investigate and resolve customer quality concerns.
Coordinate quality issue resolutions with suppliers and teams.
Train stakeholders on new or improved processes.
Assist internal audits and calibration systems to maintain standards.
Ensure timely completion of corrective actions and verify effects.
Assist in implementing and maintaining IATF 16949 QMS.
Prepare for internal, customer, and third-party quality audits (ISO 9001/IATF 16949).
