Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 2-year degree with 3+ years experience, and/or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification
  • Non-degree candidates considered with 12+ years of related experience and a high school diploma or GED
  • Strong communication skills; ability to participate with teams
  • Computer literacy; MS Word and MS Excel proficiency; ability to work with people
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship now or in the future
  • Desirable: knowledge of GD&T, SPC, and quality tools

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product, process, equipment, and method issues during development and manufacturing
  • Maximize conformance to requirements while ensuring manufacturability
  • Support supplier product conformance through supplier verification efforts
  • Conduct supplier audits and support Corporate SQE activities
  • Promote and implement quality concepts
  • Transfer receiving inspection requirements to suppliers
  • Participate in development activities to improve products and processes and prevent nonconforming product
  • Provide process efficiency and suitability analysis to manufacturing engineering and production management
  • Provide method design and impact analysis input
  • Assist with implementation of the ISO 9000 system
  • Provide input for quality management system documentation
  • Provide equipment capability analysis and qualification input
  • Periodic input to Unit Quality Manager on improvement of Quality Engineer I function
  • Support off shifts and collaborate across alternate work schedules as needed

Job description

  • Provide periodic input to the Unit Quality Manager or Quality Engineering Manager on improvement of the Quality Engineer I function
  • Support off shifts and collaborate across alternate work schedules as needed
Requirements
  • Four-year college degree, or two-year college degree with 3 years’ experience, and/or American Society of Quality (ASQ) or equivalent Certified Quality Engineer certification
  • Non-degree candidates considered with 12+ years of related experience and a high school diploma or GED
  • Strong communication skills
