Job summary

Regal Rexnord seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure product and process conformance across engineering, operations, and suppliers. You will apply quality methods to prevent defects, investigate nonconformances, and strengthen process controls to support timely production decisions.

You will collaborate with Quality, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and suppliers to improve product quality and reduce risk while advancing continuous improvement at the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years in quality or manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, or related field.
• Ability to interpret drawings, tolerances, and ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Experience with nonconformance investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.
• Knowledge of dimensional measurement and data analysis; capable of communicating conclusions.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; comfortable on a manufacturing floor.

• Evaluate conformance of parts, materials, and finished products against drawings and customer requirements.
• Lead nonconformance investigations and coordinate containment, correction, and verification.
• Develop and maintain control plans, inspection requirements, and quality records; support APQP and PFMEA.
• Investigate supplier concerns and review returned products for disposition.
• Support internal, customer, and third‑party audits; maintain QMS records.
• Provide training and lead continuous improvement projects like lean or Six Sigma.

Job description

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Position Overview

In this role, you will ensure that products, materials, and manufacturing processes meet applicable engineering, customer, and quality management system requirements. You will apply quality engineering methods to prevent defects, investigate nonconformances, strengthen process controls, and support timely production decisions. Working across Quality, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and suppliers, you will improve product quality, reduce operational risk, and advance continuous improvement at the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Product and Material Conformance (20%): Evaluate parts, materials, and finished products against drawings, specifications, control plans, inspection criteria, and customer requirements; interpret dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T; and escalation significant risk.
• Nonconformance, Root Cause, and Corrective Action (20%): Initiate quality notifications and nonconformance records; lead structured root-cause analysis; and coordinate containment, correction, corrective action, effectiveness verification, and closure.
• Process Quality Planning and Control (20%): Develop and maintain control plans, inspection requirements, and quality records; support APQP and PFMEA; analyze quality data; and update controls when products or processes change.
• Supplier and Returned-Product Quality (15%): Investigate supplier concerns, communicate containment and corrective‑action expectations, monitor actions through closure, and review returned products for documented evaluation and disposition.
• Quality Management System and Audit Support (10%): Support internal, customer, and third‑party audits; maintain QMS records; support audit actions; and promote adherence to approved requirements.
• Training, Collaboration, and Continuous Improvement (15%): Train production and Quality personnel, serve as technical liaison across functions, and lead or participate in lean, Six Sigma, Zero Defect Roadmap, and structured problem‑solving projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline; equivalent relevant technical education and directly related experience may be considered under company policy.
• Three or more years of quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, inspection, or closely related manufacturing‑quality experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, dimensional requirements, tolerances, and ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Experience with nonconformance investigation, root‑cause analysis, corrective action, inspection planning, or process controls.
• Working knowledge of dimensional measurement and inspection methods, with the ability to analyze data and communicate conclusions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and ability to work regularly on a manufacturing floor.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Five or more years of quality or manufacturing experience in stamping, die casting, precision machining, aerospace, or another controlled manufacturing environment.
• CMM equipment and advanced measurement techniques.
• APQP, PFMEA, control plans, SPC, capability analysis, MSA, or PPAP.
• ISO 9001:2015 audit support, supplier corrective actions, and returned‑product investigations. Lean, Six Sigma, Zero Defect Roadmap, ASQ CQE, auditor credentials, technical training, or project leadership.
