Job summary

Technique Inc in Jackson, Michigan, is seeking a Quality Engineer to inspect components, maintain records, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS 9100 and IATF 16949. You will support continuous improvement, interact with customers and vendors, and help develop quality processes.

The role requires GD&T expertise, experience with CMM/PolyWorks/Minitab, and collaboration with the engineering team. Bachelor or associate degree with 3–5 years in quality control is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or associate degree in engineering technology or related field.
  • Three to five years of hands-on quality control experience in manufacturing/engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and quality management systems (ISO-9001, AS-9100, IATF-16949).
  • Experience with inspection equipment such as CMM, laser inspection, SPC, and calibration software.
  • Ability to work with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced hand measurements including GD&T callouts.
  • Apply advanced GD&T knowledge and mentor staff.
  • Produce RMAs using ERP systems and follow up.
  • Develop welded assemblies to meet requirements.
  • Decipher scan data and optimize measurement settings.
