Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh Company, is seeking a Quality Engineer in Bradenton, FL to partner with our Quality organization and production teams, ensuring every fire apparatus meets the highest safety, quality, and performance standards.

You’ll champion safety, apply 8D and Six Sigma DMAIC methodologies, lead cross‑functional problem solving, and develop control plans and standardized processes to prevent defects and drive continuous improvement across the line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality or related field.
• 1+ years of related work experience.
• Six Sigma Certification and/or CQE preferred.
• Manufacturing experience with OEM or Tier 1 supplier, preferably in transportation/heavy‑duty vehicle industry.

Responsabilités

• Champion safety, 5S, and continuous improvement in manufacturing.
• Lead cross-functional teams with data‑driven problem solving.
• Use 8D and DMAIC to identify root causes and fix issues.
• Apply Six Sigma tools like mapping, Pareto, Fishbone, 5-Why, FMEA.
• Improve process capability, reduce variation, drive quality gains.
• Coach teams in quality and continuous improvement.
• Create control plans and standardized processes.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Order Management.
• Manage improvement projects with timelines and documentation.
