Job summary

A Part of Something Bigger in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Quality Engineer or Senior Quality Engineer to join a tenured team within a manufacturing environment. The role collaborates across operations, manufacturing, product engineering, suppliers, and customers to develop quality standards, perform inspections, and drive corrective actions.

A strong Lean Six Sigma mindset and solid communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a relevant field (quality, engineering, etc).
5 years in a Quality role within manufacturing.
Strong mathematical/statistical background.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain quality standards, specs, and metrics that are economically maintainable.
Act as liaison between customers or suppliers on quality issues and perform inspections as needed.
Visit suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues.
Develop and maintain supplier quality audit materials and metrics; verify supplier quality systems on the production floor.
Ensure accuracy of quality documentation (hold tags, inspection reports, data, test reports).
Lead cross-functional problem-solving to identify root causes and corrective actions for internal and supplier quality issues.
