Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Dallas, TX is seeking a Quality Engineer Staff to apply rigorous quality principles across design, manufacturing, and supply chain, driving product and process quality.

You will lead investigations, develop inspection strategies, and collaborate with program management, engineering, and suppliers to ensure reliability and regulatory compliance, enabling mission success and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline from an accredited institution.
• Experience in mechanical quality engineering, including development and review of quality standards, methods, work instructions, and inspection procedures for manufactured and procured hardware.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to create and apply quality test and inspection methods, and to perform hardware inspection, rework/repair, and disposition of non-conforming products.
• Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) demonstrated through the preparation of technical documentation, data analysis spreadsheets, and presentation decks

Responsibilities

• Apply quality principles across design, incoming material, production control, and product evaluation.
• Conduct technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, drawings, and procedures.
• Lead product failure investigations, material review board decisions, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve internal and supplier performance and productivity.
• Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, perform statistical analysis, and maintain supplier certification programs.
