Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Aiken, SC manufacturing facility to lead QA efforts across fabrication and assembly operations. You will drive data-driven decisions, problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration to improve KPIs and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 3–5 years in quality, GD&T, ISO 9001, and experience with APQP/PPAP. You will interact with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure product quality and process excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of quality-related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Experience with APQP/PPAP and documentation.
• Familiarity with nuclear standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to fabrication, assembly, and inspection personnel.
• Performs technical investigations and prepares troubleshooting reports.
• Develops and improves test/inspection methods and operation sheets to maintain and improve product appraisal efficiency.
• Plans APQP/PPAP activities and maintains required documentation.
• Participates in customer, agency and supplier audits.
• Provides audit and inspection oversight for assigned areas.
• Supports localization and new product development projects.
• Contributes to continuous improvement of quality inspection processes.
