Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Hanover Park, IL team. You will lead quality activities, implement controls, and drive preventive actions across product and process improvements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze data using Excel and Minitab, and apply ISO 9001 and AIAG core tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) to ensure quality and regulatory compliance. This role focuses on reducing defects with a proactive quality culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or related field.
• ASQ certification strongly preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems and auditor activities.
• Proven use of 8D, DMAIC problem-solving methods.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage process and product controls to ensure first-time quality.
• Resolve daily in-process quality issues for assigned value streams.
• Evaluate raw material, in-process, and finished goods against requirements.
• Lead investigations for internal nonconformances and supplier quality concerns using 8D, DMAIC.
• Drive continuous improvement teams to reduce defects and costs.
• Develop quality audit and scorecard systems and report results to management.
• Design and maintain sampling plans, quality standards, and process control instructions.
• Review and establish PPAP requirements for changes and new development.
