Job summary

TIG Distributing Inc is seeking a Quality Engineer to monitor and manage quality processes to meet customer expectations and company goals. You will participate in quality, design, continuous improvement, and safety initiatives across production, receiving, warehousing, and shipping.

The role requires 3+ years in quality or design engineering, strong GD&T skills, and proficiency in MS Office. Collaboration with Sales and Supply Chain is essential, with a focus on reducing defects and ensuring

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years in quality or design engineering and at least 3 years in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with GD&T drawing interpretation.
• Ability to perform and lead inspections across Production, Receiving, Warehousing, and Shipping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and audits across all production stages and drive improvements.
• Ensure client quality documentation and PPAP requirements are met on time.
• Create work instructions including packaging specs for new kits and assemblies.
• Determine packaging specifications per product requirements (shipping protection, rust prevention, etc).
• Collaborate with sales, supply chain, and customers on new and improvement projects.
• Drive the defect log and lead timely resolution of issues.
• Manage non-conforming areas and red-tag dispositions in the warehouse system.
• Assist with customer communications on quality concerns and warranty claims.
• Maintain ISO 9001 and related quality certifications.
• Support product testing and validation for customers.
