Job summary

BLUvera, Mortenson’s manufacturing arm, is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure products and processes meet high quality standards. The role partners with engineering, operations, and project teams to establish quality processes, analyze performance, and drive improvements.

You will help build quality systems from the ground up and address root causes in a hands-on, cross-functional environment. The position emphasizes implementing a Quality Management Plan, performing design/document reviews,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum one year of experience in design, engineering, or construction.
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to conduct constructability reviews, quality reviews of design documents, shop drawing reviews, and submittal reviews for assigned scopes of work.
• Knowledge of the design-bid-build process.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with cranes and utility-based systems.
• Self-starter, independent worker, and computer literate.
• Strong teamwork orientation.
• Understanding of construction processes and project management.
• Active listening and effective communication, including openness to diverse input.

Responsibilities

• Foster teamwork and promote diversity; build cross-cultural relationships.
• Serve as a technical resource for project staff.
• Implement the Quality Management Plan and system for all assigned divisions.
• Oversee quality inspections of materials/work and identify non-conformances.
• Manage NCN and RFI processes through corrective actions.
• Train project personnel on quality roles and processes.
• Resolve design/document issues with customers and subcontractors to meet requirements.
• Capture and share best practices to improve margin and reduce risk.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the organization.
