Quality Assurance Engineer - Direct Hire

Location: Torrington, CT

Must have: Experience with AS9100 (trained auditor preferred)

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing and AS9100 standards to help drive continuous improvement and ensure top-tier quality throughout our processes.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and support quality inspections, including First Article Inspection reports
• Manage non-conforming product resolution and corrective actions
• Perform root cause analysis and lead quality investigations
• Support supplier and customer quality efforts, including site visits and audits
• Create and improve procedures and work instructions
• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and AS9100 requirements

What You Bring:

• BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)
• 3–5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and using statistical tools
• AS9100 experience (trained auditor a big plus)
• FAA quality experience and ASQ certifications are a plus
