Job summary

Precision Resource Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a Quality Engineer to own cradle-to-grave quality responsibilities for a defined product group. You will guide APQP teams, manage PPAP elements, and uphold AIAG/ISO/IATF quality systems across automotive, medical, aerospace, and defense components.

Ideal candidates have an associates degree or technical certification, 3 years in automotive quality, and strong statistical and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical certification in manufacturing.
• 3 years quality engineering in automotive stamping or machining manufacturing.
• 3 years ISO-9000 and ISO/IATF 16949 or equivalent quality system.
• Knowledge of AIAG Automotive Manuals preparing PPAP’s, GR&R and Capability Studies, SPC requirements, etc.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety requirements.
• Experience using (Microsoft Office) Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong advance math and statistical skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-functional APQP teams and issue status reports.
• Administer APQP elements and ensure PPAP completion.
• Complete ISIR and first article reports as required.
• Initiate PPAP elements for product families and customer numbers.
• Create and revise inspection instructions and quality records.
• Determine measurement and test equipment needs.
• Verify inspection and tests feasibility.
• Audit quality processes and ensure compliance with Quality Manual.
• Process customer returns and quality concerns.
• Issue corrective action forms for major or repetitive non-conformities.
