Job summary

Dee Zee, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to monitor and audit all departments to ensure products meet vendor and customer quality requirements. The role involves supporting APQP/PPAP activities, containment of nonconforming products, and collaboration with R&D on problem-solving.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of experience, proficiency in QA tools (Minitab, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PC-DMIS) and ASQ/ISO auditor certification preferred. On-site work in Des Moines, IA is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to learn vendor/customer software applications.
• ASQ or ISO auditor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive APQP and PPAP activities for assigned customers.
• Ensure containment of suspect and nonconforming product.
• Issue MCNs to suppliers.
• Collaborate with R&D on problem-solving activities.
• Support customer audits and new product launches.
• Maintain IATF 16949 certification requirements.
• Verify effectiveness of corrective actions and replication efforts.
• Develop and improve internal processes to meet quality objectives.
