Job summary

Sonaca North America is seeking a Quality Engineer to interpret customer requirements, engineering drawings, and data sets to ensure compliance within the Sonaca North America QMS. The QE will oversee the full scope of the QMS from proposal review to final delivery and quality acceptance documentation.

The role supports our commitment to total customer satisfaction, quality products, and employee development across manufacturing locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, or science preferred with 5+ years Quality Engineering experience in aerospace.
• Experience with inspection of detail parts, tooling and assemblies in aerospace environments.
• Experience with CATIA and digital product definition or model-based definition objects.

Responsibilities

• Identify and communicate Customer contractual requirements
• Provide interface to the Customer for quality related activities
• Host and support customer or industry quality audits or certification activities
• Create Quality Assurance Program Plans and update procedures to meet customer requirements
• Conduct process and product audits to ensure quality compliance
• Participate in design review, design verification, and IPT support
• Create inspection plans and First Article Inspection (FAI) plans
• Train personnel in inspection criteria and process improvements
• Lead corrective action and continuous improvement efforts
• Utilize SPC tools to analyze process capability and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site
