Job summary

Flex is seeking a Quality Engineer for the Austin, TX area on 2nd shift (2:30 pm–11:30 pm, Monday–Friday). The role focuses on maintaining quality programs, standards and improvements within manufacturing.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the engineer will develop inspection methods, record and report quality data, drive corrective actions, and support audits while collaborating with Product Engineers and Quality Program Managers to ensure quality from components to finished products.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 6 years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• SMT/ PCBA experience.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Liquid cooling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains quality programs, standards and improvements.
• Designs and implements inspection, testing and evaluation methods.
• Directs measurement and testing of product quality and reliability.
• Codes and maintains data integrity for quality datasets.
• Coordinates with engineers and program managers on quality issues.
• Supports internal and external quality audits and corrective actions.
• Approves qualifications for products, processes and equipment.
