Job summary

Allison Transmission in Lewisburg, TN is seeking a Quality Engineer to support supplier quality, process capability, and root-cause analysis across manufacturing locations. You will apply quality tools, conduct audits and develop documentation to monitor and improve product quality in a cross-functional setting.

The role requires a engineering degree (BS or AS) and mechanical experience with a focus on problem solving, data analysis, and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred or AS in engineering related discipline.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• 2 years mechanical experience or 4 to 6 years mechanical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description

• Acquires job skills and learns policies, procedures and work instructions to complete routine tasks.
• Works on assignments routine in nature, requiring limited judgement.
• Routinely interact with cross-functional groups within the Liebherr organization.
• Act as the liaison between suppliers and Liebherr for quality, production, and process capability related concerns.
• Identify, investigate, analyze and correct problems in purchased product quality, production and control at supplier and Liebherr manufacturing locations.
• Apply and promote Quality tools and techniques.
• Conduct cross functional audits, generate reports and follow up with corrective action.
• Analyze data, develop reports and quality metrics.
• Facilitate Root Cause Analysis, Corrective, and Preventive actions within the organization.
• Develop quality and technical documentation.
• Support production operation for quality related issues.
• Has basic role in decision making.
• Works with some supervision.
• Receives detailed instructions on work.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
