Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives at our US manufacturing facility in New York. You will collaborate with multiple departments to meet quality and delivery goals and drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma.

The role requires 3–5+ years in manufacturing QA, ability to read drawings, and knowledge of APQP/PPAP. Proficiency with inspection tools is expected; ASQ CQE certification is a plus. US work authorization is required.

The Quality Engineer (QE) is a technical leader who collaborates with multiple departments to ensure quality and delivery goals are achieved. The QE applies analytical and problem-solving techniques to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Abilities:

• 3-5+ years (QE) experience in manufacturing environment preferred

• Proficiency with inspection tools and systems
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

Education and Experience:

• Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree preferred.
• Experience in Quality Assurance and ISO/AS environments preferred.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification is a plus.
