Job summary

Murphy & Associates is seeking a Quality Engineer for a hybrid role in the Greater Seattle area. The client is a large retail company, offering a robust testing environment with Postman API testing, SQL Server and Cosmos DB data validation, and Azure DevOps project management.

Expect collaboration with development, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services on projects starting ASAP through 8/29/2027. This role requires strong SQL, performance testing, and experience with payment-domain systems.

Qualifications

• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for data validation.
• Expertise in functional, integration, load/stress, and regression testing.
• Strong collaboration with development teams to ensure test automation integration into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman.
• Maintaining and enhancing C# testing frameworks.
• Skilled in working with YAML files to create and update test pipelines.
• Utilizing Azure services for debugging and monitoring.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and Agile methodologies.
• Strong background in performance testing using JMeter and LoadRunner.
• Deep understanding of the Payment Domain.
• Proficiency in Azure or GCP cloud services.

ROLE IS HYBRID ONSITE - GREATER SEATTLE AREA, WA

$56-$60, $9,856-$10,560/month COMPENSATION RATE (depending on experience)

QUALITY ENGINEER

Test Cases written in the following languages:

Tools used:

• Postman – For API testing.
• C# .NET frameworks, SpecFlow, and RestClient – For test automation.
• SQL Server – For database validation and queries ● Cosmos DB – For scalable, NoSQL database management.
• Azure DevOps (ADO) – For managing the project lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, and test cases.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

QA Skills and Experience:

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Duration: ASAP start, run through 8/29/2027, and chance to extend.

Daily Schedule: M-F. 40 hours a week, no OT anticipated.

Location: Hybrid, Issaquah, WA.

Hardware: Client will provide all necessary hardware.

Submittal/Onboarding requirements: Client requires a background check & drug screen before start.
