Job summary

Sonoco in Santa Clara, NM is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to perform routine inspections and tests on products and materials, document results, and support internal and external quality audits. You will collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain detailed records.

A high school diploma is required, with QA certifications a plus; at least 2 years in a manufacturing QA role is preferred.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct Quality Inspections: Perform routine inspections and tests on products and materials to ensure they meet established quality standards.
• Document Findings: Record and report inspection results, identifying any deviations from quality standards.
• Assist in Quality Audits: Support internal and external quality audits by preparing necessary documentation and assisting auditors.
• Implement Quality Procedures: Help in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and policies.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of quality inspections, audits, and corrective actions taken.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in quality assurance or related field is a plus.

Compensation:

The annual base salary range for this role is from $XX to $YY, plus an annual target bonus of ZZ% of base salary
