Job summary

Xecutive Recruitment Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to own warranty processes and customer-facing quality initiatives. You will lead root-cause analyses, drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams, and participate in customer reviews to validate warranty claims.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, proactive monitoring of warranty trends, and collaboration with suppliers to reduce field issues. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, or related field).
• 3–5 years in quality / warranty engineering preferred (not required).
• 3–7 years in automotive manufacturing or assembly.
• Experience with APQP, process flow, work instructions, and control plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies and implement solutions under tight deadlines (8D, 3-panel, 5 Why)
• Participate in regular customer reviews to validate, analyze, and assign responsibility for warranty claims; communicate findings to internal teams so process and supplier issues can be resolved
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders through one-on-one discussions, group meetings, presentations, and written reports
• Organize, document, and track warranty-reduction initiatives, including feasibility, cost impact, action owners, and implementation dates (clean-point tracking)
• Develop, implement, and monitor corrective actions with cross-functional teams
• Drive timely closure of customer complaints and warranty cases
• Support new-program launch activities so lessons learned from field issues are built into the process
• Track warranty trends, failure modes, and field-return data
• Prepare reports on warranty performance, KPIs, and cost impact
• Maintain warranty databases and data accuracy
• Attend warranty meetings, reviews, and audits
• Apply lessons learned from DFMEA/PFMEA and control plans
• Lead or support initiatives that improve product reliability and durability
• Create and submit technical reports on a daily basis

Education

Experience & Qualifications

• 3–5 years in quality / warranty engineering preferred (not required)


• 3–7 years in automotive manufacturing or assembly


• Working knowledge of engineering principles applied to product design and production


• Understanding of materials, production processes, quality systems, and cost drivers


• Full working knowledge of APQP, process flow, work instructions, and control plans

Technical Skills

• Core Tools (SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP)


• Structured problem-solving (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, 5-Phase, Drill Deep & Wide, 3-Panel)


• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications (GD&T)


• SAP experience


• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable in customer-facing settings


• Proven ability to work with complex data and drive root-cause solutions
