Job summary

Yanfeng is seeking a Quality Engineer to support PFMEA reviews, update Control Plans for assigned workflows, and maintain the quality system in line with YIOS standards.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and effective communication with customers and suppliers. Experience in automotive quality processes and APQP tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level degree in quality, industrial or mechanical engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in quality, engineering CI or similar (recent college graduate acceptable).
• Less than 1 year of experience within the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Support PFMEA reviews and maintain the Control Plan for assigned workflows.
• Primary contact with customer/supplier representatives; maintain positive communication and relationships; support meetings, reviews and audits
• Perform root cause analysis of technical problems
• Maintain quality system in accordance with YIOS standards
• Facilitate problem solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices
• Verify corrective actions and prepare problem solving correspondence related to quality concerns
• Participate in internal and external quality audits and report quality issues to management
• Participate in workgroups such as FMEA and APQP related activities
• Establish process controls and assist in training for new projects and buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes
• Support quality/dimensional control systems (X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies)
• Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC)

Key Responsibilities

• Support the risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews and update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned work flows
• Primary contact source with customer/supplier representatives, maintain positive communication and relationship, support and attend meetings, reviews and audits
• Performs root cause analysis of technical problems
• Ensures that the quality system is maintained in accordance with the Business Operating System (YIOS) standards.
• Facilitate problem solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices.
• Verify corrective actions and prepare problem solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues
• Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends and losses
• Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC, etc.)
• Establish process controls, assist in training of new projects and buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes
• Support quality/dimensional control systems (i.e., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies)
• Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.)

Qualifications

Bachelor's Level Degree

Area of Study:Quality, Industrial of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience in Quality or Engineering related function.

1 -3 Years of Experience working in the field of Quality, Engineering CI or similar (recent college graduate is considered acceptable).

Less Than 1 Years of Experience within the automotive industry.

• Possesses strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment, establishing partnerships both internally and externally
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possess knowledge on the fundamentals of PPAP and APQP processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
