Magna International's Magna New Mobility unit is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer to help design, test, and refine software and cloud-based solutions for mobility products. You will work in a hybrid in-office environment with travel up to 10% and contribute to cutting-edge automotive tech.

The role requires 3+ years in QA, 2+ years in automation, and strong API/backend testing skills. A BS in CS or equivalent is expected, with experience in Appium and Python-based testing, and familiarity

Job Responsibilities:

Designs, develops, tests and modifies software and systems. Analyzes users needs and develops software solutions.

What you will be doing in this role:

• Test a wide range of cloud technologies both in isolation and within the larger product ecosystem.
• Focused on finding and categorizing bugs, ensuring feature completeness and assessing reliability and performance of cloud systems.
• Focus on automation to perform repetitive testing tasks as well as regression testing covering various versions of end user client software.
• Testing expertise for our team and be a constant advocate for our customers.
• High level of coding aptitude combined with a demonstrated passion for Quality Assurance and be responsible to own and drive complex projects.

What you should bring to this role:

• B.S. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required
• 3+ years of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer is required
• 2+ years' experience in automation testing is preferred
• 2+ years' experience in manual testing is preferred

Special Knowledge / Skills:

• Strong experience in API and Backend testing of cloud technologies
• Strong coding experience with automated testing frameworks, tools and services
• Strong experience with Appium
• Strong experience with automated Python testing
• Strong experience in API and Backend testing of cloud technologies.
• Fluency in programmatic-level testing, user-level automation and API level testing.
• Experienced in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
• Experience working in a lab environment.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

• Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
• Hybrid in-office policy: 3 days in office per week, but will be needed to work up to 100% in office as the work requires.
• Domestic and international travel up to ~10%.

Hiring Base Salary Range:

$66,800 - $124,200 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). In addition to base salary, some positions are eligible for an annual performance based bonus
