Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in quality, engineering CI, or similar (recent college graduate acceptable).
• Less than 1 year automotive industry experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with PPAP and APQP processes.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain the Control Plan for assigned workflows.
• Serve as primary contact with customers and suppliers; attend meetings, reviews and audits.
• Ensure quality system compliance with YF iOS standards.
• Lead problem solving teams and respond to customer discrepancies.
• Verify corrective actions and prepare customer correspondence on quality issues.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits and report trends.
• Establish process controls and assist training on new/modified equipment.
• Support PFMEA and APQP related activities.
• Perform root cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Support SPC and metrology/control systems.

• Update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned workflows.
• Primary contact source with customer/supplier representatives, maintain positive communication and relationship, support and attend meetings, reviews and audits.
• Ensures that the quality system is maintained in accordance with the YF iOS standards.
• Facilitate problem solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices.
• Verify corrective actions and prepare problem solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends and losses.
• Establish process controls, assist in training of new projects and buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC, etc.). Support the risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews
• Performs root cause analysis of technical quality problems, with support of a cross functional team.
• Support quality/dimensional control systems (i.e., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies).
• Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.).

Required Qualifications

• 1 -3 Years of Experience working in the field of Quality, Engineering CI or similar (recent college graduate is considered acceptable).
• Less Than 1 Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
• Possesses strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment, establishing partnerships both internally and externally.
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess knowledge on the fundamentals of PPAP and APQP processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working directly with customers and suppliers, particularly automotive related is highly desirable.
• Understanding of the Quality function such as customer service, metrology, and quality analysis techniques (i.e., Design of experiments, Red X, PPAP, Control Plan, etc.).
