Job summary

Yanfeng Global Automotive Interiors is seeking a Quality Engineer (Architecture) to support quality programs across assigned workflows and ensure the Control Plan is kept up to date. You will maintain positive communication with customer and supplier representatives, attend meetings, reviews and audits, and help drive corrective actions and problem solving.

Qualifications

• 1 -3 Years of Experience in Quality/Engineering CI or similar; new grads acceptable.
• Less than 1 year in automotive industry.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving and data interpretation abilities.
• Knowledge of PPAP and APQP fundamentals.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned workflows.
• Primary contact with customer/supplier reps; attend meetings, reviews and audits.
• Ensure quality system alignment with YF iOS standards.
• Facilitate problem-solving teams; respond to customer discrepancies.
• Verify corrective actions and correspondence on quality issues.
• Participate in internal/external quality audits and report trends.
• Establish process controls; train on new projects and approve equipment.
• Participate in workgroups for FMEA/PSMC; support PFMEA reviews.
• Perform root cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Support quality/dimensional control systems and APQP tools.

Quality Engineer (Architecture)

• Update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned workflows.


• Primary contact source with customer/supplier representatives, maintain positive communication and relationship, support and attend meetings, reviews and audits.


• Ensures that the quality system is maintained in accordance with the YF iOS standards.


• Facilitate problem solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices.


• Verify corrective actions and prepare problem solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues.


• Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends and losses.


• Establish process controls, assist in training of new projects and buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC, etc.). Support the risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews


• Performs root cause analysis of technical quality problems, with support of a cross functional team.


• Support quality/dimensional control systems (i.e., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies).


• Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.).

Required Qualifications

• 1 -3 Years of Experience working in the field of Quality, Engineering CI or similar (recent college graduate is considered acceptable).


• Less Than 1 Years of Experience within the automotive industry.


• Possesses strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment, establishing partnerships both internally and externally.


• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Possess knowledge on the fundamentals of PPAP and APQP processes.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working directly with customers and suppliers, particularly automotive related is highly desirable.


• Understanding of the Quality function such as customer service, metrology, and quality analysis techniques (i.e., Design of experiments, Red X, PPAP, Control Plan, etc.).
