Job summary

Camaco in Lorain, OH is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to review quality policies, communications, programs and practices to ensure customer satisfaction. This role develops improvements and participates in audits, PPAP and process validation on the plant floor and office settings.

The candidate will perform internal audits, oversee product manufacturing documentation, coordinate first article builds, and support AITF 16949 activities while working with engineering to implement changes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of work experience in quality assurance.
• Experience in automotive seating.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits.
• Provide oversight of the manufacture of products to ensure that engineering documentation is consistent with manufacturing methods employed.
• Coordinate activities associated with first article build of new products, ensuring tracability to documented standards at release.
• Develop test methods/procedures to support product validation efforts.
• Maintain test equipment to traceable standards.
• Perform performance validation tests to meet customer specifications.
• Generate test reports of performance validation tests.
• Review of AITF 16969 documentation, instructions, procedures and quality manuals, ensuring operations is in compliance.
• Provide support to AITF 16949 activities.
• APQP, SPC, FMEA & 8D Problem Solving
• Customer quality issues and problem solving including customer communication & visits.
• Manage production part builds and layouts as it pertains to PPAP.
• Work with engineering regarding issues and/or engineering changes.
• Investigates/supports corrective action activities required by internal or external customer concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent.
• 3 plus years of work experience in quality assurance.
