Job summary

Adaptive Solutions Group seeks a Quality Engineer to support QA activities for large-scale engineering, construction, industrial, and power projects. This onsite role in Lenexa, KS involves cross-functional collaboration to ensure project quality requirements are met throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited program is required.
  • Approximately 3+ years of engineering experience in design, construction, power, industrial, infrastructure, or related environments.
  • Experience with quality assurance, corrective actions, root cause/causal analysis, audits, or structured problem-solving.
  • Ability to interpret and apply established quality standards, procedures, and project requirements.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable communicating findings across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities and work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to safety, integrity, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and ongoing administration of project quality plans and procedures.
  • Partner with engineering and project teams to identify potential quality issues and improve processes.
  • Initiate, track, and resolve corrective actions.
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analysis and other structured problem-solving activities.
  • Participate in internal quality audits, assessments, and project reviews.
  • Review project documentation for compliance with quality requirements.
  • Analyze quality data, trends, and metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate quality findings and recommendations to project teams and leadership.
  • Develop and maintain project quality documentation.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations related to quality initiatives and lessons learned.
  • Help promote a culture of quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship on quality standards and best practices.

Job description

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support quality assurance activities for large-scale engineering, construction, industrial, and power-related projects. This position will work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and operations teams to ensure project quality requirements are consistently followed.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, root cause analysis, and working cross-functionally throughout the lifecycle of complex projects.

Location: Onsite in Lenexa, KS (relocation packages are available)

What You'll Do

  • Support the implementation and ongoing administration of project quality plans and procedures

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program required
  • Approximately 3+ years of engineering experience preferred, ideally within design engineering, construction, power, industrial, infrastructure, or a related environment
  • Experience with quality assurance, corrective actions, root cause/causal analysis, audits, or structured problem-solving
  • Ability to interpret and work within established quality standards, procedures, and project requirements
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable communicating findings and recommendations across technical and non-technical teams
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities and work both independently and collaboratively

  • Ability to access active construction/project sites as needed and work in varying environmental conditions
