Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Quality Engineer in Hauppauge, NY. The role focuses on developing and improving quality systems, inspection processes, and ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements throughout the production lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 4–6+ years of quality experience, with strong data analysis, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills to support audits and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 4–6+ years of experience in quality assurance or manufacturing quality support.
• Working knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and regulatory standards (GLP, GMP, ISO, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Experience analyzing production data, evaluating nonconformances, and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong understanding of quality documentation practices and product assurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, apply, and refine quality standards, inspection criteria, and procedures for receiving, in-process, and final product evaluation to ensure compliance with internal, contractual, and regulatory requirements (30%).
• Analyze production data, review nonconformances, determine dispositions, and implement corrective actions to improve product quality and process stability (25%).
• Provide technical support to inspection and production teams, interpreting specifications, resolving quality issues, and ensuring consistent application of inspection methods (20%).
• Support customer, vendor, and internal department interactions by addressing quality concerns, participating in audits, and preparing required product assurance documentation (15%).
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends, recommending updates to quality standards, and supporting enhancements to test methods and procedures (10%).

The role contributes to product quality, process reliability, and operational consistency by analyzing data, resolving quality issues, supporting audits, and collaborating cross-functionally to uphold quality expectations across the production lifecycle.

Location: Hauppauge, NY - Onsite

Salary Range: $ 83,800 - 90,000 per year plus bonus

What You Bring
