Job description

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet internal and external quality standards. This role involves developing and implementing quality control systems, conducting inspections and audits, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and systems.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
  • Lead corrective and preventive action initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, including inspection reports and audit findings.
  • Monitor supplier quality and support supplier development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Train employees on quality standards and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards, root cause analysis).
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality software.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Certification such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) is a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to Camco’s product lines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
