Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Quality Engineer for Transition Standard Work and Contract Review Verification, onsite in East Hartford, CT. You will work with suppliers to ensure affordable, high‑quality parts that meet our customers' dynamic needs.

This is a 12‑month contract with extension or conversion. Candidates must have aerospace quality systems expertise, contract review experience, and the ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support Global Transitions hardware from contract review to First Article Inspection approval and PPAP interim to full approval.
• Collaborate with quality entities and suppliers to identify and mitigate quality risks per AS13100, PPAP, APQP, and PWA 79345.
• Mitigate quality risk by enforcing process control requirements and preventing hardware nonconformance.
• Support risk mitigation in contract review, flow down, sub-tier management, controlled processes, and metallurgical control.
• Assist global transitions project managers with key quality deliverables to meet timelines.

Insight Global is hiring a Quality Engineer for Transition Standard Work process and Contract Review Verification. This role is responsible for working closely with suppliers to ensure the client has affordable, high-quality parts that meet the customers’ dynamic needs.

Onsite in East Hartford, CT

12 month contract with extension or conversion

Pay: $55-$65/hr

What You Will Do:

• Supports Supply Chain’s Global Transitions team as a Quality leader for Global Transitions hardware from contract review phase to First Article Inspection approval, PPAP Interim approval with a plan for Full approval, through Quality assessment and approval of production readiness
• Works with quality entities and suppliers to identify and proactively mitigate quality risk emphasizing product, AS13100, PPAP, APQP and PWA 79345 requirements. Mitigate risk proactively during using AS9145 tools as PFMEA, PFD, PCP, MSA and KPC Management.
• Mitigate the risk of quality escapes to our customers through robust contract review verification and preventing hardware nonconformance with the utilization of process control requirements
• Must be able to support and facilitate risk mitigation in contract review, contract flow down, sub tier management, special/controlled processes, and metallurgical control.
• Responsible for proactively supporting global transitions project managers with key quality deliverables to meet project timelines

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Ability to obtain a government security clearance
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• Deep understanding of Aerospace Quality Systems and manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated experience in developing supplier relationship and improving quality signature.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Net Inspect, SAP, Qlik, CORE tools.
