Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance in manufacturing.
  • Experience in an ISO 9001 environment and internal audits.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, CAPA, and QMS.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience; Green Belt a plus.
  • CQE certification preferred; PMP a plus.
  • Strong analytical and collaborative skills.

Job description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization in the Dallas area to identify a Quality Engineer. This position plays a key role in supporting quality systems, driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing supplier quality activities, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure products consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Position Summary

The Quality Engineer will work closely with production, supplier quality, quality management systems, and new product introduction teams to improve manufacturing processes, resolve quality issues, and enhance overall product reliability and customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for a quality professional who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and collaborating across multiple departments in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, work instructions, SOPs, inspection plans, and quality documentation.
  • Maintain and support Quality Management System activities, including internal audits and document control.
  • Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with production and operations teams to improve quality, reduce scrap and rework, and enhance process capability.
  • Monitor quality performance metrics and develop action plans to drive continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate customer complaint investigations and cross-functional problem-solving efforts.
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities and corrective action processes.
  • Support reliability testing and customer quality reporting requirements.
  • Manage supplier quality processes, supplier approvals, supplier audits, and supplier performance scorecards.
  • Conduct product, process, supplier, and quality system audits.
  • Collaborate with safety and operations teams to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001-certified environment.
  • Internal auditing experience required.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, CAPA, and Quality Management Systems.
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and quality control methodologies.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience preferred; Green Belt certification is a plus.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification preferred.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Fully on-site position located in Dallas, Texas.
  • Manufacturing facility environment consisting of office and production areas.
  • Ability to move throughout the facility and work cross-functionally with multiple departments.
  • Regular use of computer systems and quality management tools.
