Job summary

ThermAvant Technologies, LLC designs and manufactures high-performance thermal management solutions. The Quality Engineer will audit, plan, develop and maintain the company’s quality management system and customer-specific requirements.

Independent judgment is required to prioritize a diversified workload and support continuous improvement across manufacturing and supplier activities.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret component & assembly drawings and engineering specifications.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for inspections.
• Ability to utilize inspection equipment: CMM, VMM, thread gauges, Mitutoyo digital height scale, calipers, pin gauges, profilometer, etc.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong oral & written communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspection & 3rd party sample testing of raw materials.
• Assembling confidential and sensitive information.
• Development of PPAP-related documents (Process Flow, PFMEA-CA, Control Plans).
• Maintain Quality Procedures/Manual and supporting documentation.
• Develop QA processes with input from the department.
• Assist with ERP systems implementation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive Quality Engineer to join our team. The Quality Engineer assists in auditing, planning, development, implementation, communication, and maintenance of company’s quality management system, policies, documentation, data, and customer specific requirements.

Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspection & 3rd party sample testing of raw materials.
• Assembling confidential and sensitive information.
• Development of some PPAP related documents (Process Flow, PFMEA-CA, Control Plans, etc.).
• Maintain Quality Procedures/Manual and associated supporting documentation.
• Develop QA processes as needed with input from the department.
• Assist with enterprise resource planning and implementation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good oral & written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external.
• Capacity to work independently from general supervision (must be self-motivated once given a directions & guidance).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Can sustain high-quality productivity level within a fast-paced environment.
• Vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Previous knowledge of ERP systems.
• Previous experience in manufacturing environment.
