Qualifications

  • Four-year technical degree in industrial, mechanical, or quality engineering (or 2 years quality experience).
  • Hands-on with Quality Management Systems and testing methodologies.
  • Ability to read and understand automotive drawings.
  • Familiar with PPAP, APQP, SPC, PFMEA (Core Tools).
  • Familiar with inspection gage/tool design and certification techniques.
  • Familiar with IATF 16949 Quality System requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Familiar with product and process audits, implement corrective actions, maintain quality standards.
  • Participate in APQP with project teams.
  • Develop and implement control plans and inspection methods for manufactured parts and assemblies.
  • Assess process quality checks for over or under inspection.
  • Assist production through training and demonstration of quality procedures, representing customer viewpoint.
  • Facilitate problem solving in a manufacturing environment. Initiate corrective actions in a team environment.
  • Interface with customers solving quality issues and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Consult with Engineering and Manufacturing on measurement techniques.
  • Conduct process and product audits and report to the Quality Manager problems and possible solutions.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements
Qualifications:
