Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance Associate to support our production and engineering teams in ensuring product quality and process compliance.

You will drive quality initiatives, perform NCMR closures, conduct inspections, and establish quality plans in line with international standards (ISO 9001, IRIS, AAR).

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills with PivotTables and formulas.
• Proficient in creating professional PowerPoint presentations.

Responsibilities

• Drive Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMRs) to closure and review aging NCMRs.
• Prepare weekly NCMR presentation slides using data extracted from Reliance for the Quality Manager.
• Perform final inspections of completed products and incoming inspections of purchased components.
• Assist with departmental quality initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Analyze nonconformity issues and provide dispositions of parts, following up in the quality system until completion.
• Lead containment activities to minimize customer impact.
• Perform root-cause analysis and corrective action to prevent recurrence in production line.
• Lead activities to ensure execution of quality metrics within the assigned area.
• Establish and execute quality plans for compliance with international quality standards (ISO‑9001, AAR, IRIS).
• Establish quality control plans to drive proactive quality improvements in your area of responsibility.

Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions and value‑added services for freight and transit rail. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Associate to support our production and engineering teams in ensuring product quality and process compliance.

Who will you be working with?

As a member of the Quality team, you will collaborate with Production, Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, and the Project Core Team in Montreal to support project execution, resolve quality‑related issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Drive Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMRs) to closure and review aging NCMRs to ensure timely completion.
• Prepare weekly NCMR presentation slides using data extracted from Reliance for the Quality Manager.
• Perform final inspections of completed products, such as door panels and operators, and conduct incoming inspections of purchased components and subassemblies used in door systems.
• Assist with departmental quality initiatives and continuous improvement activities as needed.
• Analyze nonconformity issues and provide dispositions of parts, following up in the quality system until completion.
• Lead containment activities to minimize customer impact.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and corrective action to prevent recurrence in the production line.
• Lead activities to ensure execution of quality metrics within the assigned area.
• Establish and execute quality plans for compliance with international quality standards (ISO‑9001, AAR, IRIS, etc.).
• Establish quality control plans to drive proactive quality improvements in your area of responsibility.

Qualifications

• Highly skilled in Excel, including PivotTables and formulas, and proficient in creating professional PowerPoint presentations.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, and productivity requirements within a manufacturing setting.

Salary & Benefits

Salary range: $68,900 – $98,200 (subject to change). Relocation lump sum assistance is available for qualifying candidates. Benefits include health, welfare, and retirement plans, as well as potential annual bonus if eligible.
