Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Engineer to monitor, maintain, and improve quality indicators across manufacturing shops and the supply base. This role supports delivering the highest quality vehicle to customers with cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving.

This permanent onsite position in Blue Springs, MS requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and strong communication, documentation, and Lean/Root Cause capabilities. Salary range offered is $70,000–$100,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting with strong communication skills.
• Experience developing and reviewing technical documents such as drawings, reports, manuals, and technical specifications.
• Ability to create presentations for diverse audiences.
• Basic understanding of Problem-Solving Tools such as TBP, 8D, Fishbone, 4M, and 5 Why.
• Basic understanding of PFMEA.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Automotive experience is a significant advantage.
• Experience in Lean manufacturing, Root cause analysis, Process engineering, Mechanical engineering, Manufacturing processes, Continuous improvement, Assembly, and Electrical engineering.
• Familiarity with the automotive industry and PPAP.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Quality Standards related to Suppliers, In-House Manufacturing Shops, and Completed Vehicle.
• Assure Change-point Management for Suppliers, In-House Manufacturing Shops, and Design.
• Provide technical support and daily problem-solving for part and shop issues within the Manufacturing Shop.
• Communicate, coordinate, and negotiate to solve complex problems with cross-functional teams.
• Act as Quality Window Person to Design and provide Design Technical Support.
• Develop technical procedures and produce engineering reports.
• Manage field and warranty issues for the responsible area.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
