Job description

Overview

MAHLE’s Quality Engineer is a key role within the production of manufactured products and is overall responsible for ensuring the manufacturing process produces a quality product the first time through. The role monitors workflows, creates documentation, qualifies product and manufacturing processes, ensures alignment with customer, local, state and federal regulations, and works with suppliers to meet quality assurance specifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workflows and create documentation.
• Qualify product and manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment with customer, local, state, and federal regulations and requirements.
• Work with suppliers to ensure compliance with all quality assurance specifications.
• Examine products to determine their quality, engage with customers, and gather product feedback.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using 6S/lean methodologies to reduce waste.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Certification in Sigma Green Belt minimum and/or lean manufacturing a plus.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
